Anime Oasis '09

YAY! I had such a blast last year with Anime Oasis con that my family and i decided to go back up to Boise, Idaho and have fun again! Granted, this year there wasn't much to the dealer's room and there weren't NEARLY as many voice actors as the year before, but i had lots of fun getting lots of pictures!! This year, me and inca talked directly to Mark Hildreth (Heero Yuy) and asked him how to sign zombie (sign as in sign language). Unfortunately, he said that he only learned the British alphabet... sooooo... he couldn't really help us! LOL! But that was still cool! Also, got a CD from him signed, and i just started listening to the songs he wrote and they are ABSOLUTELY beautiful! He said he mixes Elton Jon (<-- whatever) and Stevie wonder with some R&B and pop! AND it's true! By the way, he JUST started handing out his CD's, in other words, we were the first people to get his First cd!

Alright, enough bragging about Mark, who is very funny!

Let's see! AO was actually 4 days long, and seeing as how our great friend, the leader of the cosplay group, the Desert Chickens, set up check-in's to the hotel on the first day! weeeeeee... kinda didn't really DO anything the first day! After all, for me, it is a VERY long drive up to Boise, Idaho!

The second day, me, inca, and our bro all dressed up as the Turks from FFVII! That was fun! Felt VERY professional! And before we could even make it out of the hotel hallway, we were asked by 'L' if he could take our picture! Then, we walk into the con and get bombarded with more photos! THAT was fun!

The third day, i dressed up as Lavi from D.gray-man, and boy was i hyperactive that day! For one, i was happy that his costume turned out alright and his WIG! OMG, that wig was horrendous! I litterally plastered that thing just to keep it the spikes from falling down! Well, i got LOTS of pics taken of me when i was dressed up as Lavi, some of which when i was racing Inca in the gameroom on those arcade cars. I was sooo worried that no one would know who i was because D.gray-man hadn't come out to the U.S. quite yet, it's still japanese! (until March 31!) So, i was pleasantly surprised how many people knew who i was! YAY!

Thus, how mysticinca dresses up as Near from deathnote, i will for now on dress up as Lavi from D.gray-man! I WILL BE KNOWN TO EVERYONE!!! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ahem.

Next Anime Oasis is going to be even more expensive, we're moving to a BIGGER hotel where rooms cost $150.00 per night. The Grove Hotel, i believe it's called. We're staying in a 4-5 star hotel only because Jeremy (the leader of all AO madness) wants it to be BIGGER!!

So, if any of you out there who just HAPPENS to be reading my journal, besides for my fam, you should go to Anime Oasis! Don't think it'd be fun, well, here's something for ya!

All the voice actors that go there, each say that this is the best con and the nicest people that they have ever gone to.

Next year i plan on grabbing my artbook and sitting down in artist alley! If they have one! Because i saw some of the artwork there and i KNEW i could do much better then them! Well, at least at hands... and ... body contours... yeah...

Okay, anything else... no... i don't think there is... Just keep an eye on my youtube channel, i might be posting some stuff that me and inca did while we were there. yeah, we're wierd like that! TEEHEE!
